Rainforest Reptiles Show

Rainforest Reptiles Shows - Michael and Joanney Ralbovsky, founders and owners of Rainforest Reptiles are committed to educating the public about the natural world to improve the quality of our lives. Since 1993 Rainforest Reptiles has conducted educational interactive programs to teach respect for and educate people of all ages about animals and the importance of preserving the rainforests. Identified by Educate America as a valued educational and entertainment program for children, their shows are fun, informative and educational and you will have a chance to get up close to snakes, turtles, lizards, alligator and more! Rainforeset Reptile shows newest addition is their innovative and fun mobile unit. First shown at last years show, the mobile unit gives the capability to teach an understanding of the natural world through various habitat and animal displays.

World of Dogs Program - This program is designed to educate and entertain attendees about the wonderful world of dogs and to introduce the many things that you can do with your dog. There will be obedience demonstrations, agility , frisbee, drill team, coursing demonstrations, flyball, rally obedience, training demonstrations, dog tricks, and much more! Demonstrations by Y2K9 Training Group, Hilltown Training Club and the Berks County Dog Training Club.


dashM.A.D.DOGS- Mid Atlantic Disc Dogs- See the high flying sport of K9 disc as K9 disc enthusiasts compete in a Disc Dog Competition. The M.A.D. DOGS Club will hold demonstrations on Friday with the compitition on Saturday and Sunday.

The American Association of Cat Enthusiasts will hold its’ 15 Annual A-Cat-Amy show at the Expo this year. Many beautiful and rare breeds of cats will be on display and competing for awards all weekend. On Saturday, for the first time ever, in any show in the world, AACE will hold a Munchkin Congress, where at least 20 of these diminutive felines from all over the United States will compete with each other to find the very best of the breed. Sunday will feature a Ragdoll congress to crown the top Cat that exemplifies their namesake. Throughout the weekend all the cats will go head to head to find the best Kitten, Cat, Alter and Household pets among the competitors.

T&D'S Cats of the World - TD'S Cats of the World is a one of a kind animal refuge specializing in exotic felines including lions, tigers, cougars and bobcats. Family owned and operated, TD’S Cats of the World rescues wildlife from situations of abuse, mistreatment, abandonment or when they are no longer wanted as "pets". Rare and Ancient Breeds Dog Show - sponsored by Rarities, Inc. See many rare breeds such as a Dogue De Bordeaux, Cane Corso, Bergamasco and many more as they compete in the Rare and Ancient Breeds Dog Show all weekend. Alpaca Area - See the alpacas - the softest, cutest, most cuddly critter that you will ever meet. You can see colorful, gentle alpacas, babies, yearlings and adults at the Illusion Ranch Alpaca Arena where they will stage fun, informative and "hands-on" performances throughout the weekend. You'll see these beautiful animals in action as they perform unique behaviors. Karen Kober Animal Communication - Visit with Karen Kober and attend her animal communication seminars. Using mental telepathy Karen is able to converse with all species - living or deceased. This discussion will provide insight and validation as to the experiences of animal communication. Discussions will include who seeks a communicator and why, the benefits of this shared time between you and your animal friend/s, and how animal communication is learned. dogDOG OBEDIENCE PARTICIPATION DEMONSTRATION
Gwenevere Marx has been a dog trainer for 24 years. She and her husband are the owners of the Lehigh Valley and Berks County Dog Training Centers. Gwenevere will do participation basic obedience demonstrations at the Pet Expo Attendees are invited to participate with their dog. Emphasis will be on basic obedience and introduction to other dogs and how to behave in public parks. Pre-registration is required by emailing to petexpo@optonline.net

In subject please put Registration for Dog Obedience Class, list your name, dogs name, size and which day you are registering for. We will email you a confirmation. Registration can also be done at the show.

Can your Family Pet Dog become a Therapy Dog
A Therapy dog is specially trained and certified to help the elderly and infirmed in places like hospitals, retirement homes and schools. These dogs bring happiness to the sad, comfort to the lonely and encouragement to the challenged. Owning a Therapy Dog can be a very rewarding experience.

This presentation will cover what therapy dogs do, does your dog qualify, getting your dog ready, what the training entails and the rewarding benefits of becoming a team with your pet.

Stacey Goss, Avian Education Specialist- will be presenting programs for Bird Enthusiasts, Stacey is the manager of Premium Animal Supply, a local specialty pet store & vice-president of the Berks County Bird Club. She has been raising, training and breeding exotic birds for 17 years. She has attended many avian & veterinarian educational conferences & has conducted her own educational programs fro schools, bird clubs & bird marts/expos. Basic Pet Bird Care- will cover diet & proper nutrition, caging, toy selection, cleaning, necessities, care & training tips.
Is a Pet Bird the Right Pet for You- will cover basic things that need to be considered before purchasing a pet bird as well as some general species information. See Schedule for times



The American Museum of Veterinary Medicine-located in Birdsboro, PA , The mission of the AMVM is to provide a unique opportunity for the public to learn abut the rich heritage of veterinary medicine and its role in animal and human welfare. Roger Caras, well known as an ABC and 20/20 commentator, president of the ASPCA, announcer at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and author of 82 books donated those and his personal reference library to the Museum’s Library. His wife and daughter will be at the booth on Sunday. The AMVM booth will be manned by members of the Museum including veterinarians who will be glad to answer questions about pet health and also about the Museum. Make sure you visit their booth to find out more about the Museum and to speak to the veterinarians. Programs will be presented during the three days by Veterinarians and Members of the AMVM.
