All New Classic K9 Dog Show
Awesome Dogs -- Watch with amazement as they run, jump, retrieve in a flash, and change directions at lightning speeds while competing in a wide variety of 'Olympic' style events. World Record High Jumping, High Speed Agility and In-line Racing are only a few of the events that these dogs compete in.

Doggie U K9 Academy, the largest indoor training facility on Long Island will be doing agility
Demonstrations in the Dog Arena all weekend. Make sure you stop by their booth to talk to them
They have many classes which fit the needs of dog and handler teams at every level.. FRISBEE DEMONSTRATION
Saturday presented by Doggie U K9 Academy
Marty Levy has been competing with his disc dogs for more than 15 years. See him and his Border Collies demonstrate the sport of freestyle Disc.
His border collies Penny, Nan and Meg compete in disc and often demonstrate the sport.
Nan competes in distance events and little Meg has already been successful in distance and
freestyle events, winning a combined championship in her first Novice competition,and placing second
in the Open Division of combined Freestyle D and A at the 2011 Skyhoundz NJ State Championships.
Marty enjoys nothing more than teaching handlers and their teammates how much fun playing disc with your
dog can be. Marty teaches handlers to throw and dogs to catch with a systematic approach that emphasizes
dog safety and fun.
World of Dogs Program
This program is designed to educate
and entertain attendees about 
the wonderful world of dogs and to introduce the many things that you can do with your dog. There will be obedience demonstrations, agility , frisbee, flyball, , training demonstrations, dog tricks, muscial freestyle and much more!
Flyball Demonstrations by Long Island Road Rage - Teamwork, speed and precision is the name of the game in the sport of Flyball. The fastest growing dog sport in the world. Flyball is a four-dog relay race between competing teams. The flyball course covers 51 feet in length and consists of four hurdles leading to the Flyball box. Each dog must jump the four hurdles, retrieve a ball from the box, and return over the hurdles and cross the finish line. Each dog must be highly trained to work on a team with three to five other dogs and be highly focused. Flyball is open to all dogs, mixed or pure bred.
Parade of Breeds- calling all purebred breed dogs! Participate with your dog in the Parade of Breeds to be held on Saturday March 3 at 3:30 pm in the Dog Arena. Open to purebred dogs 6 months of age and up.
There is no fee to enter, but you must pay the admission fee to the show. You must purchase your tickets online. When you get to the show go to the Will Call / Information Table in the lobby for your tickets and to check in.
Parade of breeds is closed
Dogs must be healthy, free from parasites and have all necessary shots.

Coming to the Long Island Pet Expo! Gaze upon this rare and mystical creature from the bayous of Louisiana. This Alligator is one of only 30 Albino Alligators in the world! It’s lacking all of its black color which makes this so rare!! There is a very little known legend about White Alligators! Rainforest Reptiles Rare and Endangered
Special Presentation

Rainforest Reptiles has combined some of their most popular programs to come up with an exciting, fascinating adventure thru the rare and endangered reptile world!
In this program of discovery you will see many large reptiles and amphibians of the rainforests and other important habitats from around the world along with a few of our rarest and most critically endangered species.
The other aspect of this program will consist of one large table set up with a variety of artifacts that we have collected through the years, along with many that the US Fish and Wildlife Service has confiscated through illegal importation. This can be viewed before and or after the performance at the Rainforest Reptile Zoo Trailer. We will have trained Herpetologist at the tables to explain artifacts and pass out U.S. Fish and Wildlife brochures.
As with all our presentations there are opportunities for volunteers to assist us and to have up close and personal interaction during and after the show.
All of this is put together in a professional interactive fun way to thrill all ages!!

Birds of Prey Program
The Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons will be joining us at the Long Island Pet Expo.
They will be doing an exciting and educational program on Birds of Prey on Saturday and Sunday. 
Birds of Prey or Raptors, are some of the most fascinating and misunderstood animals.
They are not only efficient predators, but also a valuable part of the web of life which affects us all.
One hour demonstration with live hawks including a Red tailed Hawk, a Great Horned Owl and more.
The
Long Island Pot-Bellied Pig Association - Learn about
pot-bellied pigs. See trick performances by the pigs and take
a photo with a pig! Members will be on hand to give out educational
information on pigs as pets, plus adoption materials.

DANCING WITH YOUR DOG
Diana Frohman and her Golden Retrievers will do Dancing with your Dog demonstrations at the Pet Expo. Freestyle is the sport of dancing with your dog. It is a wonderful display of communication and relationship between dog and handler, set to music. "Freestyle is Obedience with Attitude"!! Freestyle is highly entertaining and it is obvious that both dogs and handlers are having a great time. Freestyle is open to all breeds of dogs, including mixed breeds. There is a class for everyone, from juniors to senior citizens.
Meet and See Rick Caran and "TEAM JILLI DOG" - Trick Shows and Training Tips! This is Rick's seventh year as a featured act in the Expo! Originally, it was Rick and the amazing little rescue Yorkie, Jilli Dog, known as "The World's Only Poker Playing Dog." In the last few years, the act has grown to include, Spidey Chihuahua (current "Mr. NYC Chihuahua King") and Ruby Dog, their new little Yorkie sister, who has been wowing crowds in the US and Europe for over a year, doing all the signature Jilli Dog tricks, including POKER, with great enthusiasm and puppy-like cuteness! Ruby was a gift to Rick, from YTNR (Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue), and the wonderful breeder Patti Hood, of Nashville, for their years of representing and performing for animal rescue causes. Jilli, their sweet senior of 14 yrs, is semi-retired, but still makes appearances and sometimes thrills the audiences with some of her tricks!
They have appeared on Animal Planet, Disney TV, Regis and Kelly, Rachael Ray, and more! They have done tours in the US, Italy, San Marino and Sweden! Come and see them!!!

Alpaca Area- See the alpacas- the softest, cutest, most cuddly critters that you will see. You can see colorful gentle alpaca babies and adults at the Illusion Ranch Alpaca Area where there will be informative information and hands on petting opportunities. You’ll have the opportunity to feel what has been called the softest fiber in the world- baby alpaca fleece!
Green Meadows Farm Petting Zoo- Kids will have a great time in this unique petting zoo!
All animals will be displayed in colorful petting boxes for the visitors to safely pet and touch.
Animals include: Frogs, bugs, toads, lizards, bunnies, guinea-pigs, giant tortoises, pot bellied pig, miniature goats, hedgehogs and chinchillas. Not only will you be able to pet all animals, you will also have the opportunity to purchase animal food to feed them. Friendly farm assistants will be available to assist in the petting of animals and to learn about Stickers the tree frog, Tickles the Hedgehog and more *

The LI Retriever Field Trial Club - will be doing a demonstration with their trained retrievers.
The Long Island Retriever Field Trial Club is the oldest retriever club in the country. It was started with the help of August Belmont in the 1930's. The club hosts and competes in several retriever hunt tests and field trials every year.
We will demonstrate the dogs natural ability to retrieve. See the skills that we teach the dogs through our disciplined training, and how the dog and handler work together as a team.

Rescue and Adoption Area sponsored by VCA ANIMAL HOSPITALS
AN important aspect of the Long Island Pet Expo is the adoption and rescue agencies that participate to provide the public with the information on adoption and responsible pet ownership.
VCA Animal Hospitals will be the sponsor for the Adoption and Rescue Area for the Long Island Pet Expo. VCA Animal Hospitals’ teams, including veterinarians and staff from the local VCA Animal Hospital locations will be available at the VCA booth all weekend. They will be on-site to provide information on pet healthy start and wellness, nutrition, parasite prevention, first-aid as well as answer general pet healthcare related questions
